Hello beautiful world, the wait is nearly over. I have received the positive news and would like to confirm that Chinese Learning Pen Value Pack is available for pre-order on Sep 30! It is the perfect starter kit for non-Chinese speaking students to start learning how to read and write Chinese. Students will have access to textbooks, Chinese lessons, and audio recordings, all at once.
Let’s see what we have in this pack, and what you can do with them.
Textbooks:
Chinese Learning Pen Value Pack includes one copy of Chinese Reading and Writing 1 (Enhanced Edition 2020), and one copy of Chinese Reading and Writing 2 (Enhanced Edition 2020).
Chinese Reading and Writing 1 & 2 are the first two books of the Chinese Reading and Writing series. They give a great start to anyone who is serious about learning Chinese. Starting from strokes and stroke orders, these two books teach 120 Chinese characters, 316 words and expressions, and 10 grammar points. The exercise sections include a total of 312 sentences, 25 conversations and 10 narratives. Wow. That’s what learning characters is about, to be able to read and write some conversations and stories!
Forget about going through 1000 characters you don’t know how to use. Start with 120, but know how to use them very well.
Lessons:
Chinese lessons are packed into the books. There are a total of 37 online lessons, teaching characters, words and expressions, how to read sentences, grammars, and how to grasp the exact meaning of a character in a context. Students can scan the QR codes on the book pages to watch these lessons, or watch them directly on this website.
Audios:
Chinese Learning Pen is, of course, included in the pack. It is an amazing digital device, can play any part of the texts at ease. It brings a new dimension to the books, and helps students accelerate their learning process in many key areas.
One of these key areas is pronunciation. It’s possible that many students may finally be free from the clutch of the “correctness” of pronouncing characters according to their pinyin and tones. They’ll realise that, in natural speech, pronouncing a character when it’s standing alone is frequently different from pronouncing it when it’s part of the sentence or part of a combination. With the help the Pen, students can easily compare how an individual character is pronounced and how the same character is pronounced in a combination or in a sentence. Telling the differences alone is a huge progress.
Chinese Learning Pen Value Pack introductory offer
Putting these three elements all together, you have Chinese Learning Pen Value Pack, perfect for beginner students to start learning how to read and write Chinese.
