Making presentations in Chinese is an essential skill. Use these videos to practice speaking Chinese and master this essential skill.
These videos are provided as the basic materials for making presentations in Chinese. Students are invited to describe the videos, give commentaries, or narrate events. They are encouraged to delve deeper into each topic and enrich their presentations with additional materials.
Videos are made based on Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A Student’s Book and Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level B Student’s Book.
Lesson 1 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Practice telling a story in Chinese. Use the video as a clue and describe each scene and what people are saying. Students are encouraged to add more details.
Lesson 2 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
This short video is used to practice how to articulate city transportations in Chinese. Prepare a 2 minute speech and present to the class. Add more information if desired.
Lesson 3 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Use this short video to practice introducing a house in Chinese, and later write an advertisement for it. Use your imagination to give additional information.
Lesson 4 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Practice using Chinese to tell a story! Watch this video and tell a story about how someone makes a huge change in life. Added details are welcome.
Lesson 5 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
This short video provides a chance for students to practice describing in Chinese how to cook a simple Chinese dish, Stir-fried Shredded Potatoes. Students are encouraged to add more details.
Lesson 6 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Watch the video and tell the story in Chinese. Students are encouraged to add more details.
Lesson 7 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Watch the video and tell the story or make a presentation as the company representative. Students are encouraged to add more information as they see fit and also give an ending to the story.

Watch the video and explain what people are using their mobile phones for. Students are encouraged to improvise and to tell a story about each character.
Lesson 9 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Use the video as the basic information and tell the story of Apple Daily newspaper in Hong Kong. Students are encouraged to research and to add more information to their presentation.
Lesson 10 Review - Mandarin Express Pre-Intermediate Level A
Based on the video, students make a presentation in Chinese to explain these two gathering occasions. They are encouraged to research into the topics and add their own experiences if possible.
